One of the great classic crown colonies of the Empire, Mauritius contains a significant number of rarities starting with the 1847 1 and 2 penny “post office” Victoria. Issues from 1847-1863 are infinitely more expensive mint than used, however from 1863 onward, there are enumerable massively under-catalogued used stamps the value of which are manifold their list price!
