Located in modern day Georgia and now known as Batumi, this colony offers never-hinged collectors the chance to take on a serious philatelic challenge due to its many rare and under-catalogued provisional overprints. The demand for this colony’s postage stamps is so high that many forgeries have made their way into the market, and we highly recommend expertization of the better class stamps.
